What is ASL?

American Sign Language is a natural language; meaning that is has developed naturally over time. Additionally, ASL has the same linguistic properties as spoken languages - it's just signed instead of spoken!

Why Learn American Sign Language?

Research shows that learning a second language can keep your mind sharper for longer. Additionally studies show, adults who speak more than one language are at a lower risk for developing dementia.

Learning another language allows you to connect with and embrace a culture different than your own. Language is the most direct form of connection to others!
